Definition
Trionomial is the name consisting of three terms  (generic name, specific name, subspecific name) always in italics, reffering to  a subspecies (ssp). In botany there is  an trinomial name with the addition of a connecting term to indicate the rank of name.
Eg: (zoology)  Equus ferus caballus  (the name of the horse that is one of two extannt subspecies of Equus ferus, or the wild horse)
(botany): Rosmarinus eriocalix subsp. Tomentosus (a  rosemary subspecies)  or  Crataegus azarolus var pontica (Mediterranean hawthorn)
