Literally meaning: “a turning, transformation”
Origin: Anc Greek
The term was coined in 1865 by the German physicist Rudolf Clausius (1822-1888), reffering the transformation of energy in a system to useful work
Entropy is a thermodynamic quantity of energy which describes the spontaneous process through atoms and molecules become more spread. The greater the entropy, the less available the useful energy . In a modern concept the entropy is the degree of uncertainty in a system. Later the concept of entropy passed in mathematics where expressed the degree of uncertainty in a closed system of information.
