In 1808 by English phycisian Charles Badham, (1780 –1845) who described and named it.

Definition  

Bronchitis is chronic or acute inflammation of the mucous membranes of the of either of two main branches of the trachea into lungs that is caused by  viruses, bacteria and exposure to dangerous fumes.
