Coined

Sir William Osler, a British medical doctor, is believed to have coined the term diplegia but the Austrian neurologist Dr. Sigmund Freud, in 1893,   published some of the earliest medical papers on cerebral palsy.  

Definition:

Diplegia is the paralysis of the identical part (bilateral) on both sides of the body usually as the result of a disorder of the nervous system.
