The author of the Iliad and the Odyssey, Homer (8th cen BC), used to the word αμνίον in order to define a vessel for warrior’s blood collection before their death Later, the term was used to denote that surrounds contents.
Definition
Amnion with chorion are the two fetal membranes that surrounds and protects an embryo in the group of amniota (reptiles, birds and mammals).
