Coined/History
Steatocystoma multiplex (occurrence on various areas of the body of small cystic tumors) was first described by Bosellini in 1898. The term was finally coined by Pringle in 1899.

Definition
Steatocystoma is a cyst with cells of a sebaceous gland in its wall and nd often abortive hair follicles.
