Coined/History 
The element was discovered in 1898 by  Scottish chemist (sir) William Ramsey (1852-1916) and his assistant English chemist Morris  Travers (1872-1961). The two scientists managed to isolate krypton after boiling away water oxygen, nitrogen, helium and argon from liquefied air.
Definition
Crypton is a chemical element with atomic number 36 and atomic mass   83.798. It is colorless and odorless noble gas with applications in photography and lighting. Unfortunately the high cost of obtaining krypton from the air has limited its practical use.
