Coined/History
Angiosarcoma is a type of sarcoma
(soft tissue neoplasm). The term of sarcoma was coined by Galen (ca 130-200) who described sarcoma as a “ fleshy excrescence” with appearance of raw meat (σαρξ) although under the same term he combined swelling and
benign tumors.

Angiosarcoma is a malignant neoplasm originated from inner lining of blood cells characterized for its rapidly proliferating and
presence almost throughout the body.
