The term was coined by William Herbert Sheldon, who supported that the size and shape of a individual’s body were indicators of personality. 

Definition
Mesomorph is a somatotype (physical type) which is characterized by a tendency for pronounced muscular development and low body fat due to predominance of tissue derived by mesoderm.
