In 1869 by The Neumann, as he was the first to recognize that white blood cells were made in the bone marrow and not in the spleen
Definition
Myeloid is a generic term refering to non to the nonlymphocytic leucocytes (white blood cells) in the bone marrow or spinal cord including the granulocytes, monocytes and platelets
