Coined/History 

Rhinoplasty was first performed by the ayurvedic physician Sushruda (ca 800BC) in ancient India in order to reconstruct noses that had been amputated as punishments and stigmatisation for crimes commited.  

Definition

Rhinoplasty is a facial surgical procedure in order to repair  nasal fractures or to improve nose appearance.
